Elmes inscribes prismatic scenes in precise detail, moving deftly from the beauty of a serene afternoon of reverie in a bee-filled field to a world consumed by chaos and destruction as fiendish beings ride through dark skies heralding the return of forgotten gods, the contrast between the still-sleeping world below and the carnage that unfolds haunting and arresting.
