The Rover's Cripple

Synopsis

Falen is a mild, skittish boy, a cripple with an unknown past, raised in the hidden sanctuary of Widdenwael—a sanctuary no one has ever left. His life is one of humble servitude; his only worry that of avoiding the village bully and staying out of the dread white Marcale forest. Then a night of terror and fire teaches Falen his place in the ruthless game of destiny, and reveals the secret behind his strange captivity. Guided by a mysterious force known only as The Rover, he finds himself thrown out into a world he has never seen, and a war he has never known. He must learn to lead—if he can first learn to survive.
