The Ibis Door

Synopsis

It's 2065; volcanoes threaten to tear Iceland in half just as the Mars Colony is about to be opened up for trade. But Ozzie is too busy preparing for a space-trading career to notice until the White Sands Space Academy wrecks his plans. Rocketing toward a solution to his problem, he's stopped in mid-air by Freya, a firefighter-in-training from Reykjavik who is hounded by strange dreams. He finds that his problem is bigger than he thought -- then, a lot bigger. Norm, a robotics designer who seems to be Ozzie's salvation, attracts the talent of brilliant Alexis, but when Freya's magnetism combines with the enticement of some mysterious music, a few other forces they can't explain go to work on them all. Now the four of them may have to gamble their futures to help rescue a doomed Earth. This is the first book of The Dreamers series.
