Of Weeds and Witches

Synopsis

In Of Weeds and Witches, Shelly Jones often places the magic and mundane next to each other, showing us time and again that indeed all of it is magic. Deeply steeped in myth and folklore, each poem is a delight, quiet and poignant and fiercely clever in turn. -Jennifer R. Donohue, author of The Drowned Heir. Shelly Jones weaves skeins of magic and myth through a wilderness of starlight. Their poems embroider folktales with flowers, riddles, teeth, and thorns. Her words dance as delicate as feathers, cut swift as claws. -Rick Hollon, editor of Queer Blades and From the Farther Trees
