Book of Spells

Synopsis

Amanda Casey moves with her family from San Francisco to a small rural community in northern California the summer before her freshman year in high school. In the woods, she finds a corpse and a book of magic spells in an old house. When her new school becomes problematic, she uses the spells in an attempt to change the dynamics. Will the spells help her or ultimately destroy her? (from the OCLC entry)
