The Misfit Apprentice

Synopsis

All Maria ever wanted was to be a magician. But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't learn to control the magic. Her training terminated, the former apprentice magician sets out to seek her fortune. Instead, trouble and a strange mute boy find her. To help a new friend, Maria and the boy join forces in a quest to steal the heavily guarded scrolls of a hostile neighboring country. But there's more to wizardry than scrolls, and Maria's journey leads her on a path to a long-forgotten enchantment -- one she'd only dreamed of.
