Synopsis

There are two rules to surviving the Mockers, the doppelganger creatures that hunt their human counterparts under the moonlight. 1. Don't open the door. 2. Don't go out at night. Four years ago, the Mockers emerged from their depths and began their rampage across the Earth. Amelia King broke rule number one at the behest of a Mocker and was forced to watch as her family members were ripped apart in front of her eyes. She escaped that night driven by her own self-preservation and choices that most people would never dare to make. Now, she must break rule number two if she wants to stay alive and truly be free. There is an island off the coast of her home, promising a safe haven. The only problem is there is a flood of Mockers between her and their boat leading to freedom. She just has to make it until sunrise. Whether that's alone or with the people she dragged outside with her.
