Synopsis

The Great Remaking is complete. King Arthur has led his people from ruined Albion into the promised land of Logres. But within a year - for reasons that no one is able to fathom - he is leading his armies back to war. His relentless overseas campaigns last for a decade. In his absence Logres- maybe the truer battleground all along - undergoes subtle but profound changes. Arthur returns to a people who seem oblivious to Camelot's ruling elite. Their allegiance has turned instead to a strange cult that is both newer and far more ancient than any conventional monarchy. Clouds gather on the northern horizon. Man-shaped clouds that tell stories of their own. Meanwhile a woman at the island-kingdom's edge nurtures a boy through to adulthood. Inexorably, now, he heads towards King Arthur's court...
