Synopsis

An engineered strain of bubonic plague is set loose on the world by a small group of carriers. Quote from The Sydney Morning Herald, September 23, 1972 (seen on newspapers.com): "Fifteen men and women have been sent into Europe and North America as a kind of pest invasion force. Each one of them is a carrier of a lethal strain of pneumonic plague. The story begins in Montreal where the body of a man is found to be full of plague germs. British, Canadian and American intelligence officers move in to counter the terrible threat."
