Synopsis

Little has changed in the picturesque village of Cold Firton, where evil has thrived unhindered for centuries. In 1830 a surly Tomos Richards and his crippled sister Sian travel towards London only to be beset by danger and treachery. Sian mistakenly arrives at Tripp's Cottage, Northamptonshire, where cholera has just taken hold and strangers are viewed with suspicion. Present day and Ivan Browning arrives at Tripp's Cottage. Now, as a foot-and-mouth epidemic begins, Ivan begins to experience ghostly pleas for help.
