In Over Her Head

Synopsis

Mermaid tales are unusual and immensely popular in the paranormal romance subgenre. Judi Fennell has created a fully realized imaginary underwater world, complete with a dynasty of Mermaids and gorgeous Mermen. When the second son of the ruling King gets entangled with a human woman, the entire undersea community is endangered, and controversy ensues. Further complications arise when a bag of rare diamonds goes missing, the exiled sea monster who lives in the Bermuda triangle gets hold of them, and the Oceanic council decides to use the human as bait to get back the jewels. Now the king's son Reel, who rescued Erica from a shark attack, has the tables turned when he's captured instead and Erica discovers she doesn't want to live without him. But how are the two lovers ever going to be able to stay together when she can't stand the water and he can't survive on land?
