Synopsis

"It relates the strange adventures in fairyland of the Wibberley-Stimpsons, a family living in a highly select locality within half-an-hour's railway journey from London. Owing to a mistake Mr. and Mrs. [W-S] are crowned joint sovereigns of the fairy land, but their reign, as the title implies, is not a long one, and the difficulties and embarrassments they meet with, and the causes which lead to their ultimate downfall, are fully described in the course of the story." --entire review in "Literary Gossip", The Athenaeum 4586 (1915-09-18) p195 (as "A new novel" forthcoming 1915-09-23, which may be correct)
